Childcare will possibly be a child's first venture into the world outside their family circle. We strive to provide a safe, warm, homely environment where children can learn and develop together. Our childcare works alongside our nursery providing the highest quality care and education for children from three months to five years.

Opening Hours

We are open from 7:30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, 50 weeks a year (excluding Bank Holidays, the week between Christmas and New Year and five staff development days each year, planned well in advance).

The Environment

The space is divided into two rooms - 0-2 years and 2-3 years and provides light, spacious indoor environments. There are exciting outdoor environments where the children have access to sand, water, swings, dens and more gross motor activities. All our furniture and equipment have been carefully chosen to ensure the children have the best possible start in life, surrounded by beautiful, mostly wooden resources. Whenever possible, we take advantage of natural lighting and play a variety of music from around the world to create a calm, relaxed atmosphere for both children and adults to work and play together.

The Baby Room

The Baby Room is a beautiful room with space for 16 babies to play and explore safely. We have a wide selection of toys and equipment that will stimulate and challenge the babies. There is a sleep room which has sleeping pods for babies, as well as big cosy baskets for toddlers to crawl into to take a nap. It has its very own outdoor area which has recently undergone a fabulous transformation. The babies have the opportunity to explore different textures in our garden walk, herbs and flowers in our planters, sand and soil in our pits. There is also a shaded area to enjoy a story or explore some interesting objects such as stones and jewels.

The Toddler Room

The Toddler Room has space for 24 children. We have organised the space into two main areas where the children can play and learn, moving freely throughout the day. There is a block area, home corner, dressing up bay, water/sand tray, mark-making area, cosy book corner, creative area, malleable materials and small world. We provide a cosy sleep area for those children who need to rest throughout the day, respecting their individual sleep pattern.

The Outdoors

The Toddlers also have direct access to their garden, enjoying similar facilities, with the added bonus of flowing water through a pump. We provide waterproofs and wellies so children can access outdoors, whatever the weather. Working with the Nursery children it offers our Toddlers further challenge and a chance to play with slightly older children.
